Your feet are the foundation on which the entire body stands.  When your feet are working improperly it begins a distortion pattern thru out the entire body.  These imbalances start with your knees and hips and travel all the way up the spine to the head.

In this class you will learn the common distortion patterns, you will see how to track them thru the entire body, and you will learn exercises to help change these patterns.
            After this class you will have a deeper understanding of:

  • Exercises to correct improper foot motion
  • Exercise common knee disorders and exercises to help restore balance
  • In depth gait analysis and you will understand the common presentations of improper foot motion

You will learn to integrate Pilates into functional training and motion.  Using these techniques you will learn to integrate Pilates into all activities and sports.  This class will make you invaluable to golfers, yogis, and tai chi students as well as anyone who wants to perform their sport to higher level.

Hip and Low Back Disorders, Dr Robert Johnson, DC

Go into the world of low back and hip, pain, instability and dysfunction.  Learn advanced functional and postural analysis of the low back and hips.  Learn the exercises that create muscular balance, stability and correct kinesis to create a stronger lower foundation.  

In this class you will revisit the basics of postural analysis, and start an in-depth movement analysis.  We will start from the feet up.  Looking at each joint and muscle combination and discover how even the simplest of imbalances from the toes to the base of the skull can influence if not create low back disorders.

  • How muscle imbalance creates pain
  • How to correct these imbalances 
  • What exercises to assist a clients healing
